‘Don’t Get Sick In America!’. We all know the maxim. Because even if you can afford expensive private health insurance you can still face tens of thousands of dollars of medical bills. And lose your home and your business. Healthcare costs are the No 1 cause of personal bankruptcy in the US.

Health and social policy expert Professor Allyson Pollock has been studying the NHS for 25 years. She believes that our NHS is being Americanised. With their Election victory the Conservative Government seem bent on a similar privatised NHS.

My Fulham GP had never heard of Professor Pollock until I saw him 5 weeks ago. I gave him the link to her compelling 18-minute TED talk on YouTube.

He agrees with her. Take a look at Professor Pollock’s short TED talk and see why:

And come to a special Save Our Hospitals/38 Degrees event at Charing Cross Hospital Sports Hall on Wednesday October 7th – a presentation by highly regarded East London GP Dr Youssef El-Gingihy of his new book How To Dismantle The NHS In 10 Easy Steps.

He will take us behind the scenes of what is actually happening to the NHS and the threats it really faces, as opposed to what’s portrayed in the media. And why it’s happening. He and NHS insiders will make it an eye-opening, indeed shocking event.

For an insight into our local hospitals’ relationships with the private sector you can see my new article ‘Our’ NHS? in the October issue of Kensington Chelsea & Westminster Today.

This is vital stuff concerning the health of us all.

Come to A Night To Remember opposite Charing Cross Hospital at:

Charing Cross Sports Club, Aspenlea Road, London, W6 8LH       Wednesday, 7 October 2015. 7:30PM – 9:30PM

Bring family, friends and colleagues. Be there now, not sorry later!
